For the twentyth anniversary of the Serralves performative arts department, we dug into its archives to create a celebration exhibition.
20 years of performances, concerts, artifacts, vinyls, emails, etc. Documents that testify the immense work developed intensely through the years.

These testimonials were able to bring the seemingly incongruous together: memories of particular performances, concerts, or shows, which were inevitably subjective, imperfect, and fragmentary. These testimonies provided the required counterpoint to data, chronologies, and documentation. They were primarily responsible for the fact that this exhibition is not just about "what was," but also about "what is now" and "what is here."

Staging a game of assembly between fragments and time.
